How to get what service:
Any consumer can get service by filing a complaint with the Director General, Head Office, Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection, Deputy Director, Barisal Divisional Office, Assistant Director, Pirojpur District Office and other district offices and District Magistrate of each district under the division. Complaints can be filed in written form, fax, email, website etc. The complaint application must mention the complainant's full name and address, father and mother's name, phone number and occupation.
Deadline for filing complaints:
As per Section 60 of the Consumer-Rights Protection Act, 2009, a person has to file a complaint under this Act within 30 days of the cause arising. Otherwise the complaint will not be accepted.
Payment of 25% of penalty amount:
25 per cent of the penalty collected as per Section 76(4) of the Consumer-Rights Protection Act, 2009 shall be paid to the complainant forthwith if actionable complaint filed is proved on investigation and penalty is imposed.
Complaint Filing Procedure:
According to Section 76 (1) of the Protection of Consumer Rights Act, 2009, “Any person, who is, or may be, a consumer, shall, in writing, inform the Director General or a person authorized by the Director General for the purpose of anti-consumer action under this Ordinance. You can file a complaint.
